Reduce, Re-use, Recycle
In 2012, Redwood and Renville Counties joined together to establish the Redwood/Renville Regional Solid Wast Authority (RRRSWA) to accomdate chaing solid waste needs. Construction of a new material recovery (recycling) and Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) transfer facility began in2014, with an anticipated completion date in late 2015. This new 39,000 sq ft facility will serve the needs of the two-county area through improved processing of recyclables, and a more efficient method of transporting Municipal Solid Waste (MSW).
RRRSWA will provide quality environmental programs with expanded services, special collection evetns, and a household hazardous waste disposal program.
