Monuments and Tablets
These monuments were erected prior to 1902 in the horse and buggy days, prior to the mass production of the automobile.  It is probably one of the oldest “history/tourism trails” west of the Mississippi, but one were only a handful of Minnesotans have ever viewed all of these monuments because of the remoteness of the Redwood Ferry Monument (see page 28).

The population of Redwood County has been steadily decreasing since at least 1950 when the county had just over 22,000 residents. In the last decade and a half Redwood County’s population growth declined by -8% from losing -1,344 net residents.
