Renewable Energy is the buzz – RADC invites you to attend a Solar/Energy Efficiency Education Forum

The Redwood Area Development Corporation (RADC) is hosting a Solar/Energy Efficiency educational forum on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Presentation times will be from 11:30 – 2 p.m. or 5:30 – 8 p.m. at the Redwood Area Community Center. RADC, and Novel Energy Solutions, an energy management company,focused on providing financially viable, environmentally friendly technologies, is presenting an educational forum on clean energy options for your home, business or farm operation. The focus will be on renewable energy that will save carbon footprint, energy consumption and money on your utility bills. Topics include: Solar PV, Thermal solar and lighting upgrades to LED (light-emitting diodes).


Speakers include:
Senator Gary Dahms, District 16 speaking on the recent solar energy legislations passed by the Minnesota Legislature; Annette Bair, SW MN Regional Certs Coordinator speaking on PACE, Property Assessed Clean Energy; Paul Pierson, speaking on USDA renewable Energy Loans and REAP grant program; Sandy Ludeman, farmer extraordinaire, speaking on grant funds for communities through the Community Foundation Funds, and Renewable Energy loans from SWIF, Southwest Initiative Foundation; Industrial and Residential Lighting speaking on making small changes that result in reduced energy consumption at your home, business, or farm; and Novel Energy Solutions, speaking on PV, Solar Thermal, and finance options for clean energy management, and Julie Rath, RADC Economic Development Specialist and/or area businesses speaking on their solar/energy efficiency projects in the Redwood Area. Plan to learn about energy management and how you can save energy and money for your business, farm and home.
