Rice Home Medical, a subsidiary of Rice Hospital in Willmar, opened the latest incarnation of its Redwood Falls branch last week.
“Last year we saw a 13 percent growth in our business, and it’s only going to keep growing,” said Briana Mumme, branch manager, last week. “As the Baby Boomers age, there’s a new movement to keep people in their homes as long as possible.”
“We use Rice Memoria Hospital’s finance, billing, IT, and human resources departments, but we’re a separate entity,” Mumme explained.
“We’re a full-line medical equipment company,” said Mumme. “We supply everything from sponge gauze to hospital beds. We do everything. Just today we were delivering crutches to a three-year old boy.”
Rice Home Medical has existed for over 25 years, with a branch in Redwood Falls for about 15 of those.
However, the new facility is the fourth in town.  Click here for the complete story in the Redwood Falls Gazette!
