Minnesota-based Manufacturing from Digi International and Daktronics Delivers Winning Scoreboard And Timing System Solutions for U.S. Bank Stadium

Tuesday, October 04, 2016

Digi International®, (NASDAQ: DGII, www.digi.com), a leading global provider of machine-to-machine (M2M) and IoT connectivity products and services, today announced that it is providing key enabling technology within Daktronics scoreboard and timing system solutions installed at U.S. Bank Stadium, the new home of the Minnesota Vikings. The components and solutions were manufactured in Lewiston, Minnesota and Redwood Falls, Minnesota, respectively, bringing a locally produced solution to this new venue.

For sports fans, the two most important questions typically are 'what's the score?' and 'how much time is left?'. Daktronics selected the Digi Neo PCI Express serial port as an essential element in their scoreboard and timing solutions based on the product's reliability and because it outperformed other solutions during testing of mission-critical connections.

"Fans expect a top-notch game-day experience, and providing up-to-date game information such as game clock, scoring and other stats is important to our customers," said Tony Kuck, Daktronics software product manager. "Selecting Minnesota-produced components from Digi International was critical to providing a superior overall display solution."
