Employment and Career Services for People with Vision Loss

If you have a significant vision loss that makes it hard for you to get and keep a job, you may be eligible for counseling, training, job skills, and job placement services from State Services for the Blind(SSB). Services vary according to individual needs. Workplace Tips for Interacting with People Who are Blind 

For a productive workplace, effective communication is essential. Treat people who are blind or visually impaired as you would any co-worker. They are there because they have proven they can do the job, and they’re the best fit for the position. They may use different techniques, but they produce the same results. The ability to converse spontaneously with co-workers can help strengthen positive relationships.
